About Me
Behind the name
- I was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago and since then I have put my full focus into what I can still do, wood working. I Skip and my daughter Chelsea provide different designs and ideas In my company Skip’s Woodworking. We provide the highest quality services with high quality furnishings and products. We can make anything from chairs and benches to bowls and cutting boards. Everything we offer is completely customizable and hand made. We are located in Idaho Falls, ID.
Our designs
Our designs rang from whatever our customer wishes to be put on the product. We mostly do animals such as but definitely not limited to, Deer/ Elk, Fish, Buffalo, Buffalo Skull, Long Horn, Wolf, Eagle, Quail, Sasquatch/ Bigfoot, Bear, Moose, as well as the Wyoming Cowboy. We can and have done other designs per request. Doing heart shaped Valentine bowls with fancy hand drawn lettering we were asked to do a skull and cross bones for a lady, and we happily took on the new challenge. We are always open for new challenges. My daughter Chelsea is head of design does the drawing of our orders, and I carve them out. Together we are excited to help make your vision come true with a special hand made wooden peice of art.
Custom Jobs
Half of what we make comes from custom orders. Knowing the quality of most things these days, quality of our work is very important to us. If we ourselves wouldn’t want it we won’t sell it. We separate ourselves from the rest out there by not only offering custom but also in quality. When it comes to our custom work you are involved during the process and we will not proceed until you approve of the design mocked up. A fusion of desire, passion and many years of experience means we can handle the most ambitious of tasks with ease.
We make lots of different custom piece. We have made benches with family names on them, custom signs that we have been asked to do ranging from in memory, to companies logos as a gift for one’s boss. All of which is hand drawn and hand carved then coated with the appropriate lacquer for the product.
